Students from Yovianna García’s studio to give a benefit concert The students from Yovianna García’s studio will offer a concert for the 4Seasons series at the Church of the Good Shepherd to benefit that church’s community outreach programs. It will feature soloists and ensembles playing music that ranges from important composers in the classical guitar literature, to music from the contemporary popular scene and music from many parts of the world. Alturas Duo wins ASCAP/CMA Award The Alturas Duo (Carlos Boltes, viola and charangos; Scott Hill, guitar) with whom Yovianna García toured last November, and for whom she wrote “Nítido”, just recieved the 2010 Chamber Music America (CMA)/ASCAP* Award for Adventurous Programming.
